General relativity is one of the pillars of modern physics which has a fundamental place in the study of large-scale phenomena. Understanding this physics has become all the more important since the recent detections of gravitational waves, paving the way for a new astronomy, but also the study of compact objects like black holes, opening the way to new tests in strong fields and potentially on physics beyond the Standard Model.
This course aims to give the first keys to understand relativistic gravitation, on the one hand from a conceptual point of view and on the other hand by studying important physical applications, from historical tests to black holes and gravitational waves.
