Taking stock of the autonomy of the EU legal order, this course presents contemporary issues of EU law and policies which contribute to shape the EU identity within the international legal order. Based on recent case-law, directives and other law-making initiatives, it presents an overview of issues pertaining to the EU strategic autonomy including EU policies aimed at promoting EU values outside the EU.
