The main objective of this class is to confer solid background concerning the overall
panel of optical atomic and molecular spectroscopies (vibrational, rotational,
electronic, fluorescence) and ab initio
calculations, technics being extensively used in our laboratories. This class
is a compulsory prerequisite for “Visualizing Chemical Reactivity” (S2), Characterization of Solids (S2), and Advanced Characterization Methods (S3).
The Molecular Spectroscopy classes, half fundamental lecture – half laboratories, will deal with:
- Atomic spectroscopy
- Rotationnal spectroscopy
- Vibrationnal spectroscopy
- Electronic spectroscopy
- Photochemistry
- Focus on Raman, IRTF, Fluorescence spectroscopies (Lab)
- Enseignant: Stephane Aloise
- Enseignant: Francois-Alexandre Miannay
